Lorri Acott’s figures portray in stylized gestures universal dreams, desires and emotions.

Her sculptures reflect love, hope, empowerment and peace, and have homes in private and public collections throughout the US and abroad.

Her evocative bronzes are a favorite of collectors and critics alike. Lorri’s work receives a powerful emotional response wherever it is placed.  She lives in the mountains of Colorado, and she has found the ideal place to nurture her creative spirit.

Decades into her profession, Lorri’s passion for dreaming big has literally translated into monumental figures and her public projects include permanent sculptures placed in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Lorri says “Sculpture has become my voice, speaking the thoughts and feelings that come from the recesses of my soul.

Unexpectedly, new sculptures emerge, whispering that which I have been waiting to understand. Now I see others hearing the whispers as well; listening to what the sculptures have to say to them; the ideas to be sparked, the understandings to be gained.

In this way, these sculptures have become not about me at all, but a piece of the story belonging to each person who views them.” 

Some of Lorri’s recent public art installations include 7 ft “Lighting the way” for Mason City Iowa, 22 ft “Spirit of Renewal” for the City of Phoenix, AZ,  11ft “Conversation with Myself” for the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, and “Peace” for the City of Greeley, Colorado. “Peace” was selected by The Michigan ACLU as art to change the world in 2014 and was honored by the World Citizens Artists organization in 2015.

 Lorri’s and her husband Adam Schultz are the co-founders of Dream Big Sculpture, a company specializing in the creation of large-scale artwork for both corporate and public collections worldwide.
The intimate-sized sculptures featured at her galleries are often the maquette on which the monumental pieces are based.
