Since 2002, Will Armstrong has spent twenty weekends a year away from home, traveling over half a million miles in well-used vehicles. His work captures countless stories from honky tonks, movie palaces, inexpensive motels, and musicians. Recently, he relocated with his wife and family to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Will’s art reflects the music that defines these places, influenced by artists such as Bob Wills and Johnny Cash. As a stand-up bass player, he now channels his passion into creating art with an oil-based pen on vintage maps and sheet music, adding an acrylic wash for a painterly effect.
