Mixed-media artwork has become increasingly significant in the contemporary art world, as it allows artists to experiment with unconventional materials and challenge traditional artistic norms. By blending paint, paper, fabric, metal, wood, encaustic, and found objects, these artists create compositions that are as tactile as they are visually striking. The interplay of textures, colors, and forms results in work that is both deeply personal and universally compelling. This exhibition showcases how mixed media can evoke emotion, tell complex stories, and bridge the gap between disciplines, making it a favorite among collectors and art enthusiasts alike.
We invite you to immerse yourself in this exceptional collection, where every piece tells a layered story through its materials and craftsmanship. Whether you are drawn to the delicate intricacy of paper cuttings, the bold energy of sculptural compositions, or the poetic depth of collage and painting, there is something in this exhibition that will captivate and inspire.

Invited Artist: Elizabeth Vanduine:

Elizabeth, a Bainbridge Island resident, is a self-taught artist who channels her creativity through paper cutting. Starting with either a photograph or her imagination for inspiration she first sketches on the back of a black piece of paper. Then she meticulously cuts the design out with an x- acto knife piece by piece to reveal stunning images.
