You’re Invited to Inspired Interpretations: Art + Poetry – A Unique Collaboration of Local Artists & Poets
Join us at JG Art Gallery + Events for a special exhibition celebrating the intersection of visual art and the written word. Some of the talented artists at JG Art Gallery have created original works inspired by poems selected for the 2025 Ars Poetica, a juried poetry collection organized by Tamarah Rockwood. This dynamic collaboration showcases the creative dialogue between Kitsap County’s poets and visual artists, resulting in a compelling fusion of imagery and verse.
The exhibition opens during the Bainbridge Island Art Walk on Friday, April 4, from 6 to 9 PM , offering a chance to meet the artists and poets whose work brings this unique concept to life. Immerse yourself in the artwork while experiencing the poetic inspiration behind each piece. Enjoy light refreshments, engage in conversation with the creators, and celebrate the power of artistic expression in our community.
On Saturday, April 5, from 1 to 3 PM , return to the gallery for an intimate poetry reading. The featured poets will share their works aloud, offering deeper insight into the words that sparked the artists’ visual interpretations. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience the interplay of poetry and art in a setting that honors both forms of creative expression.
We look forward to welcoming you!
